Leaders

Programs and Coaching

Your Latitude supports leadership development with a variety of formats including one on one executive coaching or group workshops. These customizable options are perfect for emerging leaders stepping into a new role, or seasoned leaders looking to enhance their skillsets.

Executive Coaching

Working with an executive coach gives you the opportunity to dedicate completely uninterrupted time to think deeply about what really matters to you.

Each session is custom and unique, with the content driven by your current focus and goals. Using solution-focused methodology, Laura will provide you with a guided framework to identify and clarify goals, challenge assumptions, and strengthen skillsets to achieve results.

“Laura helped me think through critical issues that have a major impact on my professional success and personal life. Laura’s talent as a coach has helped me discover my own strengths and build on them. The opportunity to think out loud with her helps me gain clarity about particular problems or issues and to develop strategies to move forward. Laura asks challenging questions and encourages me to take risks and at the same time is very helpful and supportive.” – Frederic Rainville, Business Leader

Solution-Focused Coaching
Solution-focused is a practice that uses specific and unique questioning designed to support you in uncovering strengths and possibilities. A solution-focused coach provides an intentional future-focused framework which means that the majority of the coaching sessions are around identifying and clarifying what it is you do want, not around what it is you don’t want. What difference does that make? When you are working with a solution-focused coach you will always be building towards something, rather than trying to avoid something, and you will see the difference in your results.

For more on Solution-Focused coaching listen to the podcasts found on the Media page where Laura is interviewed as a thought-leader in solution-focused coaching.

Strengthening Personal Resiliency

Collaborative Coaching Groups

Every year Human Resource departments spend countless hours and resources providing training programs for their employees. All too often however benefits of the training are short term as old habits once again take over day to day tasks.

We want to help you change that.
Your Latitude Collaborative Coaching Groups are specifically designed to:

  • Reinforce and sustain training provided by HR by working with small groups of employees each month to implement the training.
  • Support your employees in creating long-term changes in habits and behaviours by turning information into skills.
  • Provide an opportunity for the participants to learn from each other, discuss real-time scenarios they are currently facing and receive practical, actionable guidance and coaching.
  • Supplement your training with other coaching that will help support the organization’s goals.

Your Latitude uses the Cycle of Performance Improvement to maximize the ROI of your training
resources by focusing on Quadrant 3 – Coaching.

“Laura is an amazing coach. The Coaching Circles have been helpful in applying a lot of the principles to real life work situations. It is one thing to take a training however the tools become the most meaningful when the situation arises that you use them and are coached through it. Each session Laura would bring new tools or direct us back to tools we had learned about before and we could work through them.” – Manager, Health Care

Your Latitude will work with you to collect training materials, policies and other content you would like to be included in the Collaborative Coaching Groups and will design a Customized Toolkit that will house all of these resources in one convenient place.

  • I hired Laura as my business and public speaking coach to help me with a project I was working on. I always had a fear of public speaking and Laura was fantastic in helping me build my confidence while also helping me create a powerful and impactful presentation. I will definitely be working with Laura again on future projects.

  • I would like to thank Laura Cole for being an excellent executive coach and leadership mentor.  Over the past four years she has helped me meet my goals of becoming an authentic public speaker.  She has accomplished this with infused skill and ability, fused with purpose and passion

  • In two short hours, she had the room abuzz, and we came away with the framework for a charter document that would connect us across our six hospital sites.  In leading this work, Laura was encouraging, engaging, challenging and collaborative.

  • Going through the process of hiring and training new employees because you are growing and require more staff is one thing – but the cost of interviewing, hiring and training new employees to replace someone because of turnover – now that’s a whole different story. If you can avoid the cost of turnover by hiring a mediator to support your staff in working through conflict or improving relationships, that’s money well spent.

Rob Macaulay Urban Machinery, V.P. of Operations
  • Laura, you have helped me completely shift how I function in the workplace. And while much credit goes to the strategies you use, as much or more goes to your style and approach. Your ability to connect, meet me where I was at, help me feel just fine as myself, and develop clarity around who I want to be and where I want to go, your ability to recognize openings and nudge me along—those are the skills that can’t be taught. Thanks for being so great.
