When you think of running for the border for a relaxing, fun-filled vacation, Mexico should be your destination. Mexico is known as a place that has something for everyone, particularly climate-wise. The most pleasant time to visit Mexico is around October to May, though it can be enjoyed any time year-round. In the south, temperatures can be hot and humid. Cozumel is another highly prized Mexican destination, known mainly for its world-class diving, thanks to Jacques Cousteau. There are over one hundred diving sites that have been identified within a 5 km radius of the island. If snorkeling or diving is not part of your travel plans then the pristine beaches and quaint shops will surely delight you.
Cancun is known for its popular spring break vacations, but spring break is not the only time to enjoy this world-renowned holiday spot. Cancun was literally created with the perfect vacation destination in mind, and has held the reputation of being a fun-filled, picturesque resort destination.
If you are planning to go on a Mexican vacation, please note that the peak months are July through September for the southern coast spots. More inland destinations, such as Mexico City, are popular year-round, though it can be quite chilly in the winter months. February through April are seen as ideal times to visit Mexico City. And always keep in mind hurricane season and how that might affect any travel plans to this wonderful country. The official language is Spanish and the currency is the Mexican Peso. The unofficial drink is the margarita, and be sure to pay attention to your surroundings at all times, no matter where you are in the world.
